a teatray in the sky

of mice and autocad

wanted to do a post today on the Washington Post article regarding the proposed development plans for White Flint … but since work is all piled up in front of me, that will have to wait until this weekend.

we all have photo projects in our mind’s eye that would be boatloads of fun and worth hours of effort.  but sometimes we have to accept the fact that we’re just not getting out of the office early (or ever) this week.  doesn’t mean you can’t take 5 minutes to practice your photography.

so I took a moment to document the best piece of kit I bring to work every day… the mouse.  other than the fact that the wireless transmitter occasionally fails to sync with the computer on startup, my key gripe would be that half of the buttons don’t seem to do anything in particular.  like one of those souped-up honda civics that doesn’t really go faster at all:

(wait, I thought adding vents makes your car more aerodynamic?)

I mean, if you’re going to have two roll-buttons on the mouse, one of them better be able to grill me a steak or something.  that’s what I put on my feedback survey.  at any rate, it’s smooth as the butter on a ruth’s chris and so much better than our standard office mice, which make me want to stick them into the sink disposal unit just to see what would happen

Agreed. It’s a great mouse, but some of the buttons are useless. Can’t you just ask your company to buy you one?!
