chinese thanksgiving
just when you thought you were safe from hunger and yearning, here I am again with something to make your heart thud and mouth go slack. that’s right, a video celebration of the greatest chinese invention ever … dumplings. putting this whole thing together took me surprisingly less time than I thought; while I’m still not entirely happy with the grading I’m not sure how much better I can do out-of-the-box with adobe premiere elements, so it is what it is for now.
don’t drool on your keyboard.
friday awesomeness
found this sweet video on f-stoppers the other day and I wanted to share it; the coolest part isn’t even the animation itself, it’s the background behind why and how it was made (second video below). (more…)
first film on the 5D II
this is my first attempt at taking decent video with the 5D Mark II … number of issues here (like insufficient DOF, poor focus pulling, lack of tripod), but I had a fun time shooting it and I don’t think it came out horribly. definitely planning on improving with more practice, but I don’t think I will ever become as into film as I am in still photography.
